Podcast and voice-over

Two hosts or a single voice-over, captured without room rumble and chair clicks, so you edit story—not noise—in your timeline.

Two podcast hosts with microphones at round studio table

Listeners notice within seconds when a show was recorded in a reflective room. Our round-table podcast setup in Amsterdam focuses on clear speech, even levels and natural pauses—not music-production gloss. It sits inside one of 3 rooms at Overtoom 551; traffic on Overtoom stays outside the isolation.

We work on interview shows, internal company podcasts, narration and short-form dubbing. No live audience or comedy-club vibe; instead an engineer who watches levels and breath, then hands off files your editor recognizes. For voice prep tips see prepare your voice for the studio; music beds belong in mixing when you need them later.

Process

  1. 01

    Intake

Through contact send format, speaker count, target length and deadline. We pick hourly, per-episode or a four-episode pack and confirm within 1 business day(s).

  2. 02

    Setup

On arrival we rig boom or broadcast mics, headphone mixes for hosts and a screen feed for remote guests when needed. A short soundcheck keeps your first minute from becoming a throwaway.

  3. 03

    Record

Dialogue lands on separate tracks per speaker plus a stereo mix for quick review. You own the pacing; the engineer flags problematic takes only if you ask for it.

  4. 04

    Handoff

Basic edits: trim leading/trailing silence, light plosive touch-ups where needed, export to WAV. Heavy podcast assembly or music production stays with you or a separate booking under our terms and conditions.

Show formats we see often

Two hosts at the table, host plus remote guest on screen, solo narration for explainers, or up to four panelists with extra stands. We angle mics so you can make eye contact without leaning into the capsule.

We do not live-stream to an audience during tracking; you may copy raw takes to USB if you want to cut on the train. Musical intros belong in vocal and rap recording as stems you mix later.

Room and speech tone

The podcast corner mixes absorption with a rug to tame floor reflections. That keeps voices close and avoids spending an evening noise-gating everything. We monitor quietly so tired ears do not miss soft passages.

  • Separate track per speaker for flexible editing
  • Optional stereo mix for quick phone checks
  • Headphone mixes so guests hear themselves without latency pain
  • HVAC runs low; no fan blasting the capsule

Tram 1 and 3 stop at Overtoom/Vondelpark, a short walk from the studio. From De Vlugtlaan metro station (line 50) it is about a 12-minute walk via Overtoom. — allow travel time; sessions run by appointment within Monday to Friday 10:00–20:00, Saturday 10:00–18:00. Closed Sunday. By appointment only..

Remote guests

A guest in another city can join over a stable video link; we record hosts locally while you edit the remote file they supply—or we print system audio when that matches your workflow. We cannot fix bad Wi‑Fi sync; schedule a test call when quality matters.

Full remote production does not require everyone on site, but at least one host in the room usually sounds better. Privacy questions sit in our privacy policy and, for business clients, a data processing agreement when needed.

What to bring

Script or outline, question list, water for everyone, and a laptop if you play cues mid-session. Skip rustling coats and clinking jewelry near mics; prepare your voice for the studio covers breathing and pacing too.

Bookings require age 16+ to contract alone; younger presenters are welcome with an adult. Cancel more than 7 days ahead at no charge per terms and conditions; later the 30% deposit moves or forfeits depending on timing.

Files and naming

Default delivery is 24 bit / 48 kHz WAV per speaker, plus a stereo session mix when you want it. Names follow show-episode-speaker so your DAW sorts cleanly. We do not ship mp3-only masters unless you explicitly want a preview format.

Delivery is via download link; long seasons may arrive in batches. Our archive keeps raw takes 12 months, then deletes unless you extend. Always keep your own copy.

Choosing a rate

Quick tests or inserts fit €78 per hour—we agree minimum time in intake. One episode up to sixty minutes with basic edits uses €235. Four episodes planned inside a quarter can bundle as €620.

Net hourly for invoicing: €64.46. Listed prices include 21% VAT unless a business agreement says otherwise.

Editing and mastering

Full podcast assembly—music, sfx, Apple Podcasts chapter marks—is outside standard episode pricing unless scoped upfront. Light noise cleanup on one bad take may fit inside session time; heavy restoration is quoted separately.

When intro music must translate on every platform, book mastering afterward. Dialogue-only shows rarely need mastering, but season-long level consistency helps—we can batch that when you deliver multiple episodes together.

Not included

Spotify hosting, show notes, transcripts, video direction and location shoots outside the building are not part of this service. We do not advise on music rights for your intro; clear licenses before tracking.

FAQ

How many people fit at the table?

Comfortably four mics; a fifth sometimes works with a handheld but gets tight. Tell us the headcount when booking so stands are ready.

Do you deliver upload-ready edited episodes?

Episode pricing covers recording plus basic edits. Full assembly with music and sfx is a separate quote if you want us to handle it.

Can I bring my own microphone?

By arrangement, if it mates with our preamps. Studio mics are usually faster to dial in because we know this room.

Can I book a long block of hours?

Yes—hourly billing applies. Long days sit inside Mon–Fri 10–20, Sat 10–18; breaks are yours but stay inside booked time.

What if a guest cancels sick?

Tell us as early as possible. Inside 7 days we move the slot free; later the deposit rules in terms and conditions apply.
